I confess. I’m one of those people. You know, the ones that sing in the shower. From Adele to Christmas carols, I’m your woman when it comes to belting out tunes like there’s no tomorrow. In any case, I digress. My point is about the shower. The experience of showering. I’m a believer in making it a great experience so my choice in shower gels, scrubs and shampoos is super important. My latest obsessions come from Bath & Body Works and The Body Shop.
First, the Body Shop. I’m obsessed with its Candied Ginger products for the holidays. Capital O – obsessed. I’ve been using the shower gel, scrub, and body lotion for the last month or so, and honestly can’t get enough. There is something about the scent that just so….zesty and clean! The scent to me is the epitome of the holiday season. I’ve been layering the scents so that it lingers throughout the day. The scrub is my absolute favorite — there’s something that is so invigorating about it when you use it. Check out Simone’s take on Candied Ginger at Behind the Shower Curtain ; she does a better job describing the scent and product than I do.
Next up is Bath & Body Works. When I go into a Bath & Body Works store, I’m like a kid in a candy shop. Everything looks so good and smells so good. I want everything in sight. Last month, I posted about my love for the Dark Kiss products, and now I’m all over the Heavenly Sleep Set, one of the company’s gift sets for the Holidays. The set is part of the company’s Aromatherapy line, which I had yet to try. The Sleep products are infused with lavender and vanilla which is supposed to be soothing and calming. This set contains the Body Lotion, Body Wash & Foam Bath and one of those scented thingamajiggers you plug into the wall. The Body Wash gives a nice lather though I think the scent is a tad heavy on the vanilla. The lotion is very moisturizing, and well, the wall flower is pretty to look at though my husband thinks the scent is too overpowering.
Have you found any new shower scents recently? What’s a must-have?
