I am going to use a word I loathe today. It is “lemmings.” I am experiencing lemmings. Serious ones. You know the ones that keep you up at night and get you researching online like there’s no tomorrow. (For those who may not be as familiar with how this is used in the beauty community, it means serious ‘need’ for something usually beauty related.) What have I gone gaga over? Three things: jewellery, perfume, and Urban Decay’s Naked Palette 2.
1) Jewellery: I go through stages with jewellery and accessories. For the past six months, I’ve been pretty minimal with my jewellery wearing mainly stud earrings. At a family Christmas party though, I had a life changing moment (okay,  maybe a slight exaggeration) when I put this necklace on. But seriously, I was insane over this necklace called the Femme Fatale from Stella and Dot. I felt like it was karma for us to meet. My cousin who is a Stella and Dot stylist (link!) was wearing it as part of her outfit, and seeing me staring at it, she let me try it on. Oh hello. Suffice it to say she didn’t get her necklace back that night, and I was giddy like a kid at, well, Christmas. These are the pictures to prove it.
The Femme Fatale is pricey at $128 but it is such a statement piece. It is trio of mixed chains, which I think looks amazing for evening (if I ever go out) or even day with a white t-shirt.  I was practically begging someone including my dad and husband to buy it for me that night. Sad isn’t it? They were smart and didn’t cave in. I’m not so smart and will cave in. Ordering it this month! After all it’s my birthday month so Happy Birthday to me, right? Since the necklace, I’ve been eyeing lots of jewellery online, including other Stella and Dot pieces, Kendra Scott, and now Jewel Mint which is now shipping to Canada.
2) Perfume: for years my signature scent was Chanel’s Allure. I haven’t worn it lately and have been resorting to Bath & Body Works spray in Dark Kiss. I feel it’s time for me to discover a new scent or scents. I got so many great suggestions from my Tweeps this weekend so my list is long. This will be fun research.
3) Naked Palette 2:  I heard the buzz about the launch of the palette and didn’t pay much attention. I tried to tell myself I have enough neutrals and don’t need it. But somehow this weekend I ended up on the Sephora site, and it happened to land in my shopping basket…along with a Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb perfume roller. Why is it so easy to shop online? What are your lemmings? And why do we say lemmings?

Hey everybody,

I had been watching Adele’s “Someone Like You” music video a couple of days ago and couldn’t overcome how very chic and parisian her hair and makeup looked. In video, she used dark smokey eyes having a loose half-up, half-lower look.   It's similar to the classic Brigitte Bardot look. The recording is occur Paris and it is in black and whitened. No surprise why I love the song A lot! LOL

Watch Video here.

The singer’s locks are inside a voluminous, half up half lower style. Take it easy about which makes it look too perfect, untidy is the best for this look!

Ways to get your hair:

1) Take top portion of hair and backcomb (go below the section and comb upwards to produce volume).

2) Spritz underneath the same section with hairspray.

3) Part hair aside with comb.

4) Pull top portion of hair back and secure having a clip.

5) Lightly fluff in the clipped part.

DONE!

How you can: Obtain the Makeup Look

Adele is putting on smudgy black lining/shadow to produce a untidy smokey eye. Again, take it easy should you screw it up, just smudge it!

1) Apply foundation and concealer as always.

2) Apply eye shadow base/primer all around the covers.

3) Line top of the lash line with black kohl pencil (much softer and much more smudge able than regular eye lining pencil). Draw a thinner lining for the inner corners making it thicker as you become for the outer corners. Then, fluked it out. Overall, go thicker than you would.

4) Utilizing a Q-tip or perhaps your fingers, smudge the lining out therefore it covers the majority of the lid and stretches beyond the outer corners.

5) Optional: Review the lining with matte black eye shadow to ensure that it stays longer. Smudge this by helping cover their a brush or Q-tip.

6) Curl lashes and use a couple of jackets of black mascara.

7) Use a nude lipstick/gloss to balance the dark eyes.

Done!

You'd me at Chanel. Be it the garments, bags (my dream purse!), footwear, or makeup the legendary brand instantly instructions your complete adoration. Because the makeup may be the only factor my fingers can grasp, hold, and afford (and barely at this!), I shall swoon over this absolutely beautiful collection Illusions D'Ombres P Chanel. This really is certainly among the must-haves of year. Fall deeply in love with twinkling wealthy shades and creamy textures within the most gorgeous colours.

Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Lengthy-Put on Luminous Eyeshadow ($36 USD): Once the fall or winter months comes around we immediately think smoky eye, but an excessive amount of smoke throughout your day may still feel/look unnatural. If you value sporting a smoky eye, but dislike the stares at 8 each morning around the subway, you'll LOVE these lengthy-putting on shadow/inserts from Chanel. It is a gel-formula, however the texture is greatly just like a creamy, spongey mousse in the event that is sensible. It's ultra soft to touch and is applicable so easily towards the eye. They create for any quick smoky eye since you can rapidly apply having a flat brush or finger, smudge inside a black lining, add mascara and you've got an attractive yet subtle eye you are able to put on throughout your day. You may also put on layer underneath a powder shadow for additional depth. Additionally, it lasts longer too. By itself with a primer, it wears very well all day long without diminishing or creasing.

I received Illusoire (smoky crimson-lavender with gray-silver undertones), Emerveille (soft peachy champagne with brown undertones), and Epatant (smoky khaki eco-friendly). All possess a shimmery finish. For the way much colour you need to show, the cisco kid could be a simple clean to intensely smoky. Emerveille could be worn being an everyday base or like a highlighter on medium-dark skin color. The best is Illusoire undoubtedly though. On my small complexion, the crimson shows many makes my brown eyes pretty. Epatant, however, is certainly this season's "it" shade. I really like this shade too since the khaki undertones turn it into a very wearable neutral.

Each shadow has a handy little shadow/lining brush which was designed particularly with this shadow. I favor to make use of this brush to line your eyes instead of like a shadow brush since it is pretty small.

Overall, I am a large fan especially since i have love anything I'm able to just rub around the eye rapidly and also have still it look amazing. If time isn't your friend, these shadows is going to be! Obtainable in 6 shades.

My Biggest Beauty Faux Pas
We all have our beauty faux pas - you know, things we know we shouldn't do but do them anyway? I have quite the list and I feel as though with New Years coming up, now would be a great time to try and stop some of these beauty bad habits. So, here is a list of things I do and know I shouldn't and how I'm going to try to correct them now and into the New Year. I know you will all be able to relate and I'd love to know your lists as well.
1. Going to bed with my makeup on - I used to be really good about not doing this and I take every precaution not to (example, having cleansing wipes beside my bed so I have no excuse not to take off my makeup!) but I still end up going to bed without doing it. I've noticed a difference in my skin and not for the better because of this so I must must MUST change this one! What to do: I think for this one I will need reminders, I'm going to write it on my calendar so I have to look at it and remember. I'm also going to "reward" myself if I do it everyday for a month (not sure with what yet haha)
2. Not using hand cream or cuticle treatments - I never use hand cream, ever. It's a bad habit that I can get away with in the summer but not the winter. My cuticles are ragged and my hands are dry and my nails aren't growing well and are splitting and peeling. What to do: For this one, I'm going to keep hand cream in my purse, on my night stand and in my bathroom. I figure if I see it all the time I'll apply it all the time - like lip balm. Plus, I'll use ones that I love the smell of to make it more enticing.
3. Taking hot baths - I love sitting in a hot bath for as long as I can, especially since it has gotten so cold out! I'm up to almost everyday and that is so bad for my skin and I'm feeling itchy and tight. What to do: Since I know I won't stop taking baths, I'm going to use a bath oil and hydrating body cream as soon as I get out of the tub to help limit the moisture loss. Also, I'll shorten them a bit.. just a bit.
4. Not wearing sunscreen every single day - I know the importance and I'm usually pretty good about it. All my foundations contain sunscreen but on days when I don't put a lot of makeup on I tend to forget. I have a great sunscreen that I like to wear I just need to get back in the habit! What to do: This one is like washing my face every night. I'm going to write it down and give myself a treat if I do it everyday for a month. The treat will actually be my skin looking and feeling better but something else couldn't hurt!
5. Washing my makeup brushes - This is a two-fold problem. I am so lazy about washing my brushes (don't worry they are only used on me) and therefore I use my hands to apply a lot of my makeup. Both are bad habits that I need to break. If I get in the habit of washing my brushes, I can get in the habit of touching my face less and hopefully having a clearer complexion. What to do: I'm going to be realistic with this one and say I'll deep clean my brushes once every 2 weeks to a month (depending on how much I use them) and spot clean them every time I use them with a daily brush cleaner. That should help both problems.
So everyone those are my biggest beauty blunders! I'm sure there are many more but those are the ones I really need to change. What are some of your beauty bad habits? Let me know in the comments section or do a post about it and send me the link!

Beauty Bargains: NYC Color Wheel (Mosaic Face Powder)
Hello everyone! I'm starting a new segment called "Beauty Bargains" where I'll highlight some of the best and most inexpensive drugstore products. I'm going to start off with one of my favourite (and not to mention least expensive!) drugstore items that I have re-purchased time and time again.
Here I have NYC's Color Wheel - Mosaic Face Powder. The shade I have this in (and to be honest, the only shade I have ever purchased) is Translucent Highlighter Glow. Now, with a name like that, I expected a lot of shimmer to be laced throughout this powder (although I couldn't see any initially, I've been tricked before!). I was happy to discover that this powder actually contains no shimmer - either that or its just so fine I can't detect it.
This powder extremely soft, oil absorbing and does provide a nice glow without shimmer. It evens out my skin and doesn't cake up and also doesn't appear too matte.
Pros:
- Not too powdery- Inexpensive & Readily available- Soft and extremely blendable- Gives a soft "glow"- Controls Oil- Doesn't look cakey- You get a lot of product - 9g
Cons:
- This is not translucent! I can actually use this as a light bronzer (but I'm very pale!)- Packaging isn't all that appealing or functional
For the price, I would say this is an outstanding powder. I prefer it over my MAC Blot Powder because it lends a much less "powdery" or matte look. This blends into skin and is almost undetectable as long as you use a light hand (but that goes for any powder).
I highly recommend trying out this powder if you're looking for a great, inexpensive glow. You can find this (in Canada) for around $5.50 or if you find it on sale (usually at Rexall) around $3.00.
A great beauty Bargain!

My father and my mother used to buy many things when I was little finesse. My first is a style of Finesse hair spray. This is an old but great. Since then, I buy paintings unique delicacy, because it works and almost always available somewhere.

This hair is fine to leave the application. It claims to provide the company has, however, found to be small. It took only about 4, more than 6 hours, and when disputes to keep my hair looking in vain and useless. I am average, strong hair, then maybe this would be more effective when someone is a fantastic hair.

Things also claims to be odorless, but different hair only apply for the smell, but it is much shorter, so it is not having a perfume intruders.

Other than that, it's a hair to apply the rule which is not bad, but not surprising, that certainly is not for me.

Happy Shopping

What more could you ask? Do its job, and it is very cheap. I got this for 1.48CAD. Can not say no to her.
